Artista Impresso App Reviews

This is exactly what Ive been looking for. The app is very easy to use, just like all the other JixPix apps. Impresso works nicely on my 3rd? generation iPad and after using it this afternoon, I have a few suggestions to make the app even better: 1. when using the ellipse tool, allow the user to fully change the size, shape and location of the ellipse before rendering. 2. Add a hue slider (maybe with an eye dropper) to better change the color mood of the painting. 3. Add a directional/adjustable light source to enhance the drama of the painting. These are just a few things that came to mind after using the app for an hour, but over all - I love what this app does for my Africa images! Thank you for producing such easy to use apps that really enhance my photography

Its very helpful for an artist who wants to turn a photo to a impressionist painting then he can reproduce in real oil paint on canvas.

The results are great. I love this app.

Best photo to painting app I have. Nice way to short cut backgrounds or use as foundations for further digital customization for illustrating. Just hope this doesnt put artists who still use brush and canvas out of business.

I have really enjoyed this app so far. I have not used it enough to notice any problems and I have not printed anything so I cannot comment on the quality of the images.

Yet ANOTHER JIXIPIX triumph. I snap-up all of this developers apps. Never been disappointed yet and they seem to continue to get better. One of the few developers that I would recommend all of their apps!

I love all of their apps. As a self-teaching artist who is also slightly colorblind and dyslexic, being able to see either my own paintings or my photos in various palettes is so helpful for preventing unnecessary mistakes. Seeing possibilities that my peculiar challenges might never work out is something I am very grateful for. Thank-you for making these apps!

I am an established professional Artist. It is fascinating to watch this app create what I take hours & days to accomplish in seconds! Lots of ways to tweak it & have gotten results very similar to my results. They look like honest to goodness paintings. The best one Ive seen so far! Now I need this company to come up with a realistic watercolor effects app. Havent found one that is satisfactory yet. I use this app to break down all the fine details in a photograph to keep me from getting caught up in just making a recreation of a photo. Printed on canvas paper, one would have a hard time once having a varnish applied & framed between the real painting & the the app image.

This app doesnt work on my iPhone 5s 64g. When a photo is loaded, it takes forever for the app to render, the render icon is moving then a blank white screen appears then the app crashes. Its been deleted, phone rebooted, and the app reinstalled several times to no avail. Ive written to the developers and hopefully this bug will get fixed soon. I cant really review this app as I cannot get it to work. If they fix this then Ill hopefully be able to change my review. Otherwise I just thew my money at them as this is a broken app.

This is by far my most favorite app for apply a painted look to my photos! It adds very little if needed and even where the loupe is placed to keep detail blends in nicely. Thanks Jixi Pix for another 5 star app!!

The pics in the App Store seem phony- real pics made with this app look ok but nothing close to their false advertising.

You can make really stunning oil like portraits withe this app. I havent tried printing on canvas but thats my next attempt.

Fantastic app. Does an excellent job of converting photos to an oil pastel-like finish. Just gorgeous. As a graphic artist, I can highly recommend this app to professionals and amateurs alike. You will not be disappointed in the results. One note to the Jixipix creative team -- I love everything you do, but I was wondering if its possible to install a progressive or early stop button on this app that freezes the brush strokes before the work is completed, allowing for a slightly unfinished look?

Dont believe the hype with this or any of this developers other applications. He mustve had his kids and friends right all of the reviews. This app is less than spectacular. As a matter of fact, it is quite disappointing as are the others I also paid to try out.

I love how many choices there are to adapt photos into painting-like images. Very handy for artists who are training themselves to see less detail.
